Like, Totally Radical Girls Night Out!

So, like, I haven't written a blog in about a decade or two, so I figured I'd just go right back to where I left off... THE EIGHTIES!!

That's right, the girls and I spent an evening at the roller rink in our finest 80's attire (and hair...and legwarmers...and braces!). Here's a nice photo taken with Jennifer's camera (thanks for sharing these pics Jennifer!):

Wicked Girls Night Out!

Not so very long ago, the crazy Book Club girls and I had a "theater date." That's right, a group of us all went out to see my mostest favoritest musical of all:

If you have not read the book, nor seen the musical, I urge you immediately to run out and buy the book, then buy the tickets to see it. Wicked is FANTASTIC! (Link takes you to the official musical site - which is where I stole the above image.) I saw it a couple years ago in Phoenix with Matt and my pal Holly and I nearly peed my pants when I learned it was coming to my very own backyard! Whooo hoo! And IT. WAS. AMAZINGLY. GREAT!!!

So while I was at the theater, Matt was tending to the boy and fed him a delicious dinner consisting of mashed potatoes, green beans, raviolis, and some orange slices. Hey, whatever works, right? Well, Carter was clearly a fan:

The girls and I had a meal that was a TAD better. We dined at Seasons and even wore our fancy dresses. (L-R: Holly, Kristin, Myja, Beth, Amelia, and me) At this point in the night, we'd all had a drink or two and had some silly fun for sure (and note the program for Wicked being held up in the back by Beth):
We all agreed that we should make this a regular type of outing since it was so much fun. Thanks to everyone that came out and had a blast on our "theater date!"

Hangin' Out with the Chicks

The Greenies had a jam-packed weekend, with visits from friends, hosting a going-away party, and squeezing in some R&R. Will start my blogging marathon with Friday...

While I don't have any pics from Friday night, I gotta say, every time Robin and Kaleb come to town (from Oklahoma), we have a blast! We didn't fix them a proper meal, nor did we serve any proper drinks...come to think of it, I put Kaleb to work prepping for our "Fiesta" on Saturday and I put Robin to work feeding my kid... Good pal I am, eh?

However, looking back, the conversation was great and we ALWAYS enjoy their company. Who knows, maybe someday they'll move closer to Albuquerque or we'll move closer to Oklahoma? Then maybe we can wine and dine more often (or I can put them to work...)? Regardless, they're "good people" as we say and we're happy they make time for us when they come through our town!

Moving on to Saturday, Carter had a nice visit from one of his future girlfriends, Greta. Greta's mom, Amelia, was WAY too generous and gave us a HUGE tub of clothing, shoes, coats, etc. for Carter. We're extremely thankful for her generosity and can't wait to deck Carter out in style (Amelia's boy, Liam, is WAY more stylish than Carter!)! Thanks again, Amelia!

Greta is just past the 6-month mark and is unbelievably cute! She has the CUTEST chubby cheeks and danced around for us while she was here. Luckily, Carter wasn't "checking her out," instead, he was stealing her toys... That'sa my boy...

All in all, two great visits from pals in less than 24 hours! I really am thankful that we have such terrific friends! Thanks again, Robin, Kaleb, Amelia, and Greta for the great company!
