A few peas with my cheese, please

Dinner time is beginning to be quite messy at our house...you see, Carter is really becoming adventurous with finger foods. He's pretty much dead-set on NOT using a spoon, being fed from a spoon, or even being in the same room as a spoon. So we take about an hour each night to let him eat his own dinner - ALL BY HIMSELF!

Below you can see the delicacies on which he's dining: cottage cheese and peas. We have to "ration" the peas, because if left unattended, he'd shove the whole bowlful in his mouth. While it's completely cute to see our little squirrel pack 'em in his cheeks, it ain't so cute to have them spewed back out at you when he's laughing!
